In troubled times, the bosom of the earth has offered protection to the most precious of treasures. A long time ago, around the time of Finland's conversion to Christianity, someone hid a silver treasure in the ground, which included a necklace made of elaborately decorated silver beads. The hoarder never came back to claim his treasure. Whether the hider was a priest who wanted to save the valuables from pagan Finns, or perhaps a church robber who hid his loot - no one knows. In any case, Aarrekätkö tells about troubled times, a period of transition that started a new direction of development in Finland. In 1887, the treasure was finally found in Joensuu, Haliko, during the spring plowing. The most beautiful necklace beads have been selected for the jewelry of the Halikko series.
