PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND FEATURES

In the Teljä Maiden charm, a single unending string forms a sailor’s knot enclosed in a heart. The magic of the knot symbolises love. The pendant is inspired by the iconic Teljä Maiden jewelry, created in the 1940s by artist Germund Paaer, who designed the first Kalevala jewelry. Heart and knot – double companionship, double love.

The silver Teljä Maiden amulet appeals to all friends of small and light jewelry, who take interest in intriguing details, powerful stories and beliefs from distant past. Wear long, short or inbetween, perhaps two or even three Amulets simultaneously. The plain reverse side can be engraved. Adjustable length 40/45/50 cm. The pendant is delivered with a separate extension piece you can use to make the chain even longer, 55 or 60 cm. Spring ring clasp on both the chain and the extension.

Care instructions for silver jewelry

Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.

Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.

It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
against the darkening effect of impurities is provided by a tight plastic bag.
