Christmas Ornament 2016 (Waxwings)

While wandering in the woods on one clear winter night Bunny Long-Jump and Bunny Little-Foot found a mysterious giant tree full of red berries. The colder it got, the redder the berries became and the bunnies were tempted by their beauty. They wanted to decorate their burrows for Christmas with those berries, but how to reach them. The tree was as high as the sky and the ever-growing snow drifts wouldn’t reach the branches before Christmas.

The bunnies asked the birds for help by drumming a message on the tree trunk with their paws. Soon a big flock of waxwings wafted through the air to the tree, and as they filled their own tummies they dropped berries to the bunnies. The waxwings rejoiced over the delicious Christmas food and Bunny Long-Jump and Bunny Little-Foot both had burrows of radiant red beauty for Christmas. So, when you ask, you find, and when you give, you get, thought the bunnies.
